Description

Traditional South African dried boerewors. Made from 100% beef with a sheep casing.
Contains no pork products.

Ingredients:
Beef, vinegar, salt, spices, herbs & spice extracts, MSG (flavour enhancer), dextrose, flavourings, dehydated vegetable (onion - irradiated), sodium erythorbate, vegetable oil (canola), preservative (sodium metabisulphite).

Allergens:
May contain gluten in the spices, i.e. soy wheat gluten.

One of my favourite foods is curry and rice - the way mom made it - the minced meat style. Many years ago, I invited mom and dad for dinner and I made curry and rice - just the way she makes - except I added a little heat. She didn't notice that she was eating something a little spicy until after about a minute. She loved it. :) Yesterday, I gave our neighbour (who doesn't like spicy foods) just 1 stick ("no, lunch is almost ready, I must go eat") of our new Chilli Droëwors. I too had a stick. This too, takes about until the end of the stick before the (mild) heat turns up. But then even after he was finished and had a few mouthfulls of beer, he commented that his mouth was still getting hotter. This was almost the same comment from another customer who said, "You don't notice you're eating something hot... until you stop." Folks... this is it!! It's mild, it takes a while for you to notice that it's spicy... it's brilliant (just like my curry). :) curry and rice - just the way she makes - except I added a little heat. Slabs can be pre-ordered when we start a batch. Whatever is not ordered is then cut into slices. Please note that if you order slabs, your order will only be dispatched when the slabs are harvested.

EcofIT Steak & Kidney Pie

Tender beef steak pieces and diced mushrooms wrapped in a light pastry. This wonderful "garage pie" is slightly larger than it's South African cousin weighing in at a massive 230g. Pies in SA are generally 180-200g.
Please note that thawing may/will occur during delivery. Our tests (in December 2022) showed that we could refreeze after a delivery duration of 5 days.

Please note: 2 ice-packs will be automatically added to any frozen product purchase.

Important:
Local: We ship only from Monday to Wednessday and not where the Thursday or Friday is a public holiday. Orders received after 17:00 on Tuesday will be sent the following Monday.
International: Mondays only. Orders received on Monday will be sent the following Monday. We will only use DPD for international orders of boerewors.

Please ensure that someone is available to receive the goods. Returned goods will be charged for including the return delivery fees.
